I'm not a technical guy, but I know there are a lot of smart people on the forum. I have a UK C8 that I would like to upgrade to a more powerful LED light. Anyone have any idea how to do this? I know they sell a upgrade kit, but I don't think it is worth the fifty bucks. Like I said, I'm not very technical but I am pretty handy. Is this something I can do?
Thanks,
Matt

$50 is cheap.
But if you want to try something yourself then try a P7 SSC LED with a suitable reflector, driver and heat sink ( Thats way over $50 of components ). Your biggest issue is getting the heat out of the plastic bodied light. The end result will probably be way better than the upgrade. Perhaps 700 lumen.
To be honest its a lot of work and if you are not technically minded I wouldnt suggest you try it. Either get the $50 upgrade or just buy a decent light.
