Came across a cone snail for the first time recently.

Any of you americans had problems with Humboltd squid?

Never with a humble squid, no. There’s hell to pay when you run into one that’s pretentious.

Arm yourself with butter and garlic.

Just for info the cone snail was at the entrance to Puerto del Carmen harbour on what they call the wrecks dive. Until then I did not know they were in this area - no more laying on the sand to play with the octopus!

Not just undersea, the beach at Lytham st Annes has more stock than the womens sanitary product section of Boots

unfortunately true :(

Haven't had to use it yet, but I have a big jar and tongs to deal with collecting live cones. Textile Cones are venomous too.
