I was at the BHB a few weeks ago doing a night dive. While navigating to the points of interest, I saw something that looked like a decent size rock moving. After hovering closer to it for a few minutes, I saw it start to move again. Inside of an old conch shell roughly the size of a basketball was the largest hermit crab I’ve ever seen.

Too bad I decided to not bring my camera along with me.

i've also found huge ones like that, but more south like Key largo or Biscayne, never north of the Plams...<TG>
