How safe is it to travel to Sudan and is it worth it?

How safe is it to travel to Sudan and is it worth it?

It's true Sudan isn't a common touristic destination, however the situation is tending to change most probably. If you have already dived in the Red Sea, Egyptian part, Sudan will stand out from that experience. It is definitely worth of visiting! As it hasn't been crowded by mass tourism, Sudan features unspoiled corals and pristine marine life. It's also known for healthy population of sharks like hammerheads (most commonly seen in between January and April) and other sharks that can be spotted throughout the year.

As per safety, there has been no records of any negative cases that we've heard lately neither in terms of social and political environment, nor in terms of medical emergency issues. The Liveaboard, mentioned above, is built according to SOLAS regulations and under the full survey of the International Surveillor "Bureau Veritas" as passenger ship for coastal operation area, with a full compliment of safety equipment.
