My thoughts & prayers to the surviving family of the crew. Is there more information about this wreck. Depth and conditions.

They mentioned 70 meters and current in the video. Unless I read it on their Facebook site.

That isn't the way it works, it's a respect thing for the boat and the crew that went down with her.

Thanks for posting the link, I was slow today.

She will always be on eternal patrol. You should see the memorial in Pearl Harbor to all of the boats, and crews, on eternal patrol from that war. It's sobering.

Pearl Harbor Submarine Museum and the USS Arizona Memorial is a trip I encourage everyone to take when in Hawaii.

There are submarine memorials throughout the US including one for the USS Robolo in Fargo ND. https://www.ussvi.org/MemorialShow.asp?Id=120

I thought "eternal patrol" means they are missing and fate unknown.
    Thank you for clarification.
    Cheers.

Would US Navy bother to verify the wreck because there are nearly a full squad of gallant sailors entombed in it?

Wow. I don't know a submariner, and I know a few, that would want to be called gallant. :)
