Team went today to recover a missing vehicle from 2003.

A solo diver in the Allegheny River located the vehicle yesterday afternoon and took down the license plate. Turned out it was missing since Dec 2, 2003 (exactly 3 yrs to the day) along with the owner. We did a hook and tow in a couple of hours. Victim was still in the vehicle. 40 degree water and lower 30's for air temp today.

It was a good operation as everyone went home and no one was injured.

Interesting. I did several dives in the Allegheny this year and some of the folks I was diving with recovered a stolen safe. The Allegheny has many strange happenings going on in it.

Its always a good dive when everyone comes back in one piece.

Congrats on the sucessful recovery. Had this person been reported missing?

After three years I don't think that was the case.

Good job guys. Sounds like you had a good safe operation.

Get us some details if you can.

I was thinking of the dive team. I don't think the car driver meant to go diving!
