Hello Chet,

I did a couple of "drift" dives in Jupiter Florida last fall. Vero is approximately one hours drive north of Jupiter. After diving in Jupiter I drove north and visited a couple of dive stores in Vero. I wanted to hear first hand about diving in that area. I am sure there are some different perspectives on this, but here is what I was told. I was told that the "Gulf Stream" turned outwards towards deeper water in the Jupiter area. I was told that they drive one hour, or more, south to do their diving. They said the diving was much better from Jupiter southward, due to the Gulf Stream. They said they had very poor visibility offshore Vero. This is what was said. Take it for what it is worth.

ps: I am guessing the best way to locate the treasure of the Spanish Fleet of 1715 is to use a HUGE metal detector and just cruise about.
