Hello Guys!
My name is Kelly and i'm currently a second year student at Edinburgh Napier university in the Uk.
I am currently looking for some volunteering opportunities related to Marine biology. I was wondering if any of you guys know a good place I could email/write to? And a website so I can look into it.

I'm basically looking to help with anything related to marine biology as it will build up my portfolio.

Oh and hopefully, this will all take place in the summer of 2011, so I have time to save for flights, visa, etc.

Thank you

Kelly

Hi Kelly,

I am not sure if this meets your needs but we always need help with data entry. One of the collections that needs attention and has many files left to add is the American Academy of Underwater Sciences collection. This is a group of workshops about marine biology and data collection techniques.

Just an option if nothing else jumps out at you... Like the DAN internship or Our World Underwater Scholarship.

Good luck!

Is there a direction you are going with your marine biology? As in a certain species of fish or mammal? Many organizations that do conservation from Oceana to The Shark Alliance look for help from volunteers and divers.

Best of luck in your endeavors!
