When we were talking to them they said the tanks were that old. And while I agree that a properly weighted and skilled diver could suffice with no BC we were taking into account the fact they could barely don their gear and get into the water and the fact they were arguing about how and what to do once they entered into the equation. Maybe you just had to be there to see the show as it unfolded. I am no expert diver by any means but you could tell the chance for an incident to occur was great. Also bear in mind this was a freshwater lake in Missouri in April or May and they were wearing no skin protection at all either, I was in a 5mil with a hood and the instructor was in a DUI drysuit and we were all cold!
Anyway, must have had to be there I guess.

If there was no hydro or viz on the tanks how would you know how old they were?
