I think it is free out here as well, but it is a shame that those of us who do not want to register as a facility, for whatever reason, are then excluded from advertising support, or even something as basic as being listed publicly by the agency we pay our renewals to, especially as those who do register don't pay any extra for it.

It kind of says you can be an independent instructor, but not really almost.

Mark is correct there is not a fee associated with becoming a facility, or renewing as a facility.
Many of the independent instructors did not want their personal home address used for contact listed on the internet. At the current time all of that information must be entered for the instructor to be listed. Therefore to protect their wishes we listed only facilities.
