Hi All,

I've seen several threads referencing Westpunt. What is the draw? We're in Curacao at Habitat right now and are looking for things to do. Is it just the diving or is there something worth seeing topside as well?

TIA!

Lori

Hi Lori!

Well RJP summed it all up... except to say he missed the best dive on the island which is Watamula.

If you would like to call me for more information Lori, please just give me a call on my mobile. the mumber is 511-3319. I will be more than happy to assist.

Hope you are having an awesome vacation and I hope to see you up here in westpunt before you leave.

Regards and safe diving,
Bryan

And yes, the drive is kind of cool. At Barber it forks, take one way going and the other way back to explore. I think you can see the wind farm on the northern route.

How is habitat now by the way? We were there a while back, heard it was bought out by Coral Estates recently... hopefully they already made some improvements

Hi Lori,
There's a lot to do on the West side, none of which has to do with shopping or casinos. I can email you a lot of notes I have on Banda Bou (west) or you can find some of them on our web site. (Thanks again, Martin) Curacao Sunshine - Rental Property on the Island of Curacao I have a few more pages that are not on the web. curacaosunshine@gmail.com
I believe that Habitat has a tank exchange with Ocean Encounters West. Have Ann Marie call, arrange it for you, and dive Alice In Wonderland in front of the Dive shop. It's one of my favorite dives - but Watamula is the best (IMHO).

Well, I fixed that!

Hi Lori,

It was wonderful to have Ken and you with us yesterday - it is always best to find out yourself what the draw is, isn't it? Even though there seemed to be more Coral Spawning going on in Mark's slide show than afterwards in the water... In October it's going to be different, I guess.

I hope you had a splendid time anyway with the happy Westpoint crowd at OEW and Sol Food - come visit us again!!!

Greetings :D
Andreas

Hi Lori,
Thanks for coming out to Westpunt for the Coral Spawning evening. Sorry the coral were not not feeling more amorous. I wish I had more time to talk to you; don't you just hate when that work thing gets in the way? We were, David more than I, whitewater kayakers and were wondering about your photo. I'll ask on your next visit! I hope you had a great week of superb dives and come back to visit again. Fishes, Sunshine

I bet Curacao oops Westpunt will be numero uno for Lori after being there....

Hi Lori!

It was great to have you and Ken up here!! We are so happy you enjoyed your day here at OEW including your dive at Watamula and the Coral Spawning at Alice in Wonderland!! It was really fun to meet both of you and we will look forward to seeing you again here in Westpunt!!

Now... you know what it is all about!!

BTW... the Biologist's from Carmabi collected 10 bags of individuals last night! Nature, eh! Unpredictable and amazing!!

All the best and safe diving!

Bryan
