Hi all, just want to share with you my experiences I have recently had with saving stranded whales.
Down in my area of the world we are frequented by whales. Unfortunately some end up stranding.
No one really knows why they do get themselves in the predicament. The area of New Zealand I live in now especially.

We have just experienced a second stranding in as many months.
My first experience.
Mass whale stranding in Far North - updates: Media release 20 August 2010

Second.
Fourteen whales saved through epic whale rescue effort: Media release 24 September 2010

As being a diver my greatest wish is to encounter these wonderful creatures in the sea. So far I have only encountered them in my environment.
I have had the privilege of helping them in time of need. Keeping them cool and wet. Making them as comfortable as possible.
I have Project Jonah to thank for giving me hands on training.
Project Jonah New Zealand - Caring for whales, dolphins and seals

Has anyone else had such experiences?
