What bulb for the surge?

I own several older Surges and love them. I had a bulb blow last week and ordered a new one from a dealer. The light said is came with a Xenon bulb, the order said I ordered a Xenon bulb, but the Princeton part (S-8) came and says its a Halogen bulb! What gives? Is it really only a halogen bulb? Are there 2 different bulbs that fit? Is one better then the other? If anyone can give me some insight I would appreciate it!

The S-8 is the correct and most recent bulb that you want. While the bulb might be labeled as halogen, it's possible that it was an older version or simply was mislabeled. If you have any other questions, please contact Princeton Tec.
