It's an introductory course for skills done by GUE

They accept newly certified divers (though they prefer you have a few dives under your belt first). However, you must have at least an open water cert card from another agency before you can take it. There is talk about coming out with a DIR Open Water - so a person, whos never dove before in their life, could begin from the start in the ways of all-things-DIR.
