Someone's flogging off a couple of canister lights on eBay at the moment if you do a search on Halcyon under Sports|Scuba. Still expensive.

The difference is remarkable....
One of my dive buddies has a 50w halogen with this huge cannister that takes 6~8 hrs to charge after we go diving...
I have a 10w HID with a small cannister (3 hr burn time) that only takes 15~20 minutes to charge after we go diving....
My HID is just as bright and makes a more defined beam in the water that his!
I see on another list he is trying to figure out how to convert it to an HID!!!
Ha Ha HA HAAAA HAAAAA.....
Silly....that's what ebay is for!!!!
