Other than the usual items for diving itself and a save a dive kit:

-Several Koozies, #becausebeer
-Extra sunscreen
-Bluetooth speaker for SI jams
-Extra pair of flip flops....because blowouts suck
-Soft-sided grocery cooler (Trader Joe's)...folds flat for travel and serves as cooler for snacks and above mentioned beer during trip, holds stinky wear for return trip home.

Travel light. Undies are superfluous.

If you are still wearing undies, you have not been traveling long enough.

Is a thong really that comfortable?

I just apply the 4 day rule:

Forwards
Backwards
-Inside out-
Backwards
Forwards

Rinse and repeat as necessary.

Note: the 4 day system is not ideal for thong or mankini wearers.

Then I am assuming in this situation the 2 day rule applies:

Regular
Inside out

So now the real question is what takes up less space in your bag 1 normal underwear or 2 thongs/mankini's?? If someone wants a good research project to fully optimize gear bag space please advise and let us know what the results were.

Wow this thread went really south but I could not resist. haha
