What do you take with you to prevent a lost day of diving?

We want to start a "emergency" kit that we can throw in our dive bag to prevent a lost day of diving. We have started with:

Extra O-rings
Spare mask strap
Spare Fin straps and clips
Sunscreen
Small first aid kit

What has your experience added to this list?

screw-drivers, allen wrenches, open ended wrenches
small hammer
batteries for whatever uses them
silicon grease for when you replace batteries
HP and LP port plugs
spare LP and HP hose(s)
few feet of shock cord
bolt-snaps of various sizes
zip-ties (and tool to cut them)

hm, popcorn was talking about an emergency-kit, but it seems, as if you want to run a diveshop... :p

i have been called "equipment intensive" but guess who
has "rescued" a dive buddy's dive a time or two?

I got my "Save-a-dive" kit in a tackle box. Includes:

O-rings (many sizes)
Silicone Grease
Mask strap
Fin straps
regulator mouthpiece
Batteries for computer and dive light
Scuba-tool (all in wonder with allen and open end wreches)
Zip ties
Pocket knife
Scissors
snaps
split keyrings (can substitute for BD d-rings in a pinch)
and some other miscellany

I also have a spare mouthpiece
DIN converter
DIN fill adapter
inflator hose converter (I have a Zeagle)
flat of duct tape
dental pick

Band-aids,duct-tape,ammonia,extra water and everything Green_Man listed.The ammonia is for the stings someone always gets in the slime layer between the cooler bottom and warmer surface waters.Always some jellys around.

i carry two colors: black and white.

black: taping fin and mask straps (can also be used to
create a temporary snorkel holder if i ever needed to
use a snorkel)

white: quick and easy way to mark bottles and stuff

To that I would add...
* Sudafed (the 12-hour variety)
* Dry suit glue & patches
* Pony-tail hair thingies (these can double as small shock cord loops :)
* Zipper wax
* Dry Socks

ps
Dee... what is the "inflator hose converter" for? I have a Zeagle too...

Except I have a separate Dive Kit vs First Aid kit.

IMHO vinegar is a better choice than ammonia for stings; ammonia has some uncool properties including some very nasty fumes. Also, you can use the vinegar and alcohol from your First Aid kit to make ear drops for freshwater nasties in the aural area. :wink:
