A good buy! I always wondered what was different about living in the states that they ask you about. Are you able to share with us the options?
This info will be on DAN Europe (there are differences for DAN entities, I think).
For my country,rec diving (there are options regarding whether you're pro or not), only one option: Sport member. For EU countries there are SPORT Bronze, Silver and Gold.
Anyway, my Sport member is Sport silver:
no depth limits;
total cost of medical evacuation and medical treatment;
total cost of reptriation.
Differences in Sport plans are for lost gear, hotel expenses etc., those above are the same (except depth limit for Sport Bronze which is 40m)
You can find more here: DAN Europe - Sport Member

Hi OP,

My wife and I always have our family DAN membership and DAN additional dive insurance. The insurance is cheap.

If a person can't afford dive insurance, maybe they should dive less and work more.
