No one's addressed the "thanks" part of the question. How do we say, "thank you" underwater?
If I want to thank someone I simply put my hands together, palms touching, around chin height. Like the Thai 'wai' gesture.

I too have been known to use the ASL “Thank you.” Also at times a simple nod. Back on land an extra tip (for a guide) might be appropriate.No one's addressed the "thanks" part of the question. How do we say, "thank you" underwater?

shaka..... body posture conveys the premise that it isn't DECO.... if you think that it is DECO, you haven't been attentive of the dive...
