Found this little guy on top of this starfish, what is it?

that pale colored thingy is a shrimp? doesn't look delicious though

Caridean shrimp of some sort. Probably an adult animal. Colours are washed out by the flash.

Personally, I find the starfish closeup more interesting. That medial spine is pretty well focused, and look at all those pretty white tubercles on it... what species is that?

I don't know either..but it was huge. The pic doesn't capture its size..if only I brought my WAL.

Yes, night dive last sunday. Actually, I was shooting a nudi inside a small cavern when this thing crashed on my head!!! I got a big scare! Imagine seeing it at low light very near your face....
