It's nice to see that Bush is actually capable of doing something without guns. It surely is a big step in the protection of our aquatic world. I really hope the protected areas will be actively monitored and that we get many-many more of such parks and reserves in our oceans in the not too distant future.

I've been saying that the only thing he'd done that I liked was to proclaim the Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument (Northwestern Hawaiian Islands Marine National Monument) in 2006. But now with the Mariana Trench protection he's done a SECOND thing I can say I like!
