When i dive a new wreck it is like my own personal playground. I just have to climb on, in and around it. And there is no feeling in the world like laying in the sand 70 feet below the surface locked in a gaze with an angelfish and neither one of you is willing to look away. Luckily I had a understanding buddy who let me use up half the dive time staring at a fish. Normal people wouldn't understand.:inlove: :bfish:

lets see:
1. floating and relaxation (and exercise at the same time)
2. it's another world
3. being in the water
4. breathing in the water
5. seing (and being a) fish
6. makes me feel like an explorer
7. aftereffects: about 30 minutes after the dive I feel very very peacefull (breathing slow and deep while relaxing for an hour has symilar effect as t'ai chi and meditation)

DORSETBOY:
That is like asking a drug addict why they like crack. I tried it once and now I just need a fix! Just a small hit that's all! I can stop any time I want!
Jason

Right! me too! :nope:

Divaholics:
Hey, have you heard they think they found Atlantis?

Yes, unfortunately it's 1.5 km deep and (relatively) long distance from the shore (being in Cyprus it was the first thing I looked for when hearing the news ).

Mania, are you saying you don't like it but feel compelled

Why Do I Like Diving..?
i'm living on land, i spend 100 hours a month on air and i wanted to be underwater!
I wanted to be an astronaout..not bright enough so i go underwater.. i could float and move freely.
I enjoy seeing other creatures
If i am upset with human on land i go underwater so i can talk to the fishes about my problems..hehe
Am i nuts? Somewhat nuts...

Go on a night dive in a really clear water and then try to be the last person to ascend. Look up and see other divers floating to the boat. YOU'RE IN SPACE !!!!!!
