Good thing you're not cynical then. The reg is question has had some delays, until they are sorted the name is still open.

No company in Scuba actually "pays" a designer/team for a product name, we all sit around and throw out names, get a few the boss likes then find out which one somebody else has already used and start again. This time we invited Scubaboard to the table! You have us confused with a big industry where the names make or break a product.
