Thanks, Andy. That all looks interesting, but especially the bungee modification. Even through a 5 mil wetsuit, I find that bungee is... uncomfortable.

Don't want to sound gloating, but that looks very much like you are 'razorizing' the Stealth. :D

I especially like the redundant bladder, perfect solution for most people and a cheap hydration bag can be found almost everywhere.

It looks like you are essentially going through the same steps that let the first Razor2 prototype.

Perhaps, if we wait long enough, all the systems might converge on a single standard again (with different bungees styles, and details) after all.

A ScubaBoard Staff Message...

I have unapproved a great many of posts in this thread as they contain personal attacks and are off-topic. Moderators are consumed with other issues at the moment, so I can't commit to when, if ever, the posts will be restored or edited to bring them into compliance with the Terms of Service. Meanwhile, if you wish to contribute to this thread, please stay on topic. Marg, SB Senior Moderator

That's the difference between German diving forums and Scubaboard.
You have 'real' moderators here, who do their job and don't use every chance to harass their users themselves and troll-bait to generate clicks.

There could be some interesting lessons to learn there about which concepts come natural when divers are using the equipment in different environments.
Having the wing not attached to the harness is one of the main advantages of the Stealth concept, for example.
But in spite of that a lot of users attach the wing some way after a couple (or 'a lot') of dives.

A lot of users of other systems seem to do comparable things.
It would be great to know in advance which standard will emerge from that chaos in a few years.

One thing I am curious about regarding Stealth Mods:
Did nobody ever add a second fitting for inflator/pull-dump to the opposite side of the wing?
Seems trivial to me, or at least easier, than with some other systems, but I never saw that one done right, only one that failed and ruined the wing.

DevonDiver thank you for creating this thread, we have few of these over facebook but I believe we can deliver good solutions to Stealth and sidemount divers in general through Scuba Board :)

Below I have pasted a few pics maybe not so much a modifications but solutions for mounting canister light, argon tank etc.
There will be more to come.

Best for all sidemount divers !
