I`m not sure this is the correct sub-forum to post this tread, but here goes. Does either of the DCE(wide or narrow) effect WOB?

I would have thought no. But even if it did you wouldn't notice. Hopefully someone with more knowledge will chime in.

Thanks. I have doubts myself. It was claimed in an other forum, but I can`t se how it could be.

This is a great forum for this question and it is an interesting question. The answer is YES! The longer (wider) exhaust tee produces the better
WOB. This is due to a venturi effect that gets created whereas the exhausted gas heading out the tee pulls along the gas behind it reducing the work of exhalation. While it makes a great trivia question, buddhasummer is correct, you won't notice the difference. The difference is so subtle that it can only be measured on a breathing machine.
