I recommend more interesting dive sites as a preventive measure.

 :rofl3:

I for one have yawned MANY times underwater so whomever says it cannot be done....think again. It is a somewhat bastardized version of a full fledged surface yawn but it is a yawn none the less.

just don't sneeze underwater while trying to keep your eyes open...your eyes will obviously fall out, but thankfully your safety mask will be there to catch them (the mask's true purpose). this happened to a friend of mine

Now that almost made me spit my coffee onto my keyboard. :rofl3: :rofl3: :rofl3: :rofl3: :rofl3:

Yesterday a buddy an I took two novice student divers for a quick introduction dive.
and the youngest a fresh 20 year old asked...an I have never been asked this..."can you yawn underwater?" I said no but after awhile I begain to ask myself have I ever been asked this? if anyone has a more tec amswer please let me know, I felt kind of dumb!

A 'controlled' yawn is a great way to equalize sometimes-------sure you can yawn, do it all the time, now don't go give one of these great big ole ones--think in terms of moderation...
