Hey Guys,

First post! Glad to have it on the ikelite forums. :)

Now on to my question, I recently purchased an ikelite housing for my 7d and the grease that came with it looks a little yellowish. Is it still safe to use them?

I attached a picture of it next to a tube of my regulator ikelite grease. This might seem a little crazy but I'm going to bring the casing down for the first time this weekend and the last thing I want is leak due to stale grease.

Thanks in advance!

masterkin,

As long as the tubes are labeled "Ikelite", you are good to go. Blibecap is right that the packaging may have a yellow tint. This is not indicative of old lube, but rather the packaging material. Make sure you use ONLY Ikelite lube on Ikelite products!

Regards,

Thanks guys! True enough, the grease was still white and it was only the packaging the turned yellow.
