Yes, I am still alive!

Just popping in to say hi and let you all know I am, in fact, still alive. I had eye surgery in one of my eyes last month and they're doing the other eye next week. I haven't been allowed in the water pretty much all summer. It'll probably be next season before I can dive again but it'll be worth it. No more worrying about contacts for me! I look forward to diving with you guys (and gals) again next season.

Is it true that they stick a needle into your eye while you are fully conscious? I've been thinking about getting lasic.

In some cases they do for eye surgeries. I don't know about the Lasik surgery though as I was no longer working in surgery when they came out with that procedure.
