That's great news - thank you for clarifying. Now it all makes sense. This will be a great option for people (like me) who like the HOG regs, and may buy their own tanks in future, but are starting out diving in a place that rents yoke tanks.

I could also see it being nice for someone who bought HOG regs because they mostly make dives in their home or traveled-to areas with DIN tanks, but might fly for a three-week trip to an area that only has yoke tanks. They could "convert" their regs for the trip, and then go back to DIN when they got back home. And... no protruding spin-on adapter (for those whom it bothers).

Thanks cerich, now it's clear and makes the HOG even a better option to have to what already was a great reg.

And as soon as they are in I will get them in for anyone who wants to do the conversion.

Just curious, but we dive all over the world and rarely have any issue finding ops that have DIN tanks. Even when we're forced, if you're diving a BP/W with a STA, the STA should put enough separation between your valve/adapter and the back of your head that you won't bonk yourself. So... where are y'all diving that this is such a problem? Or do you not call ahead and ask on tank type?

Quite happy with the dozen or so HOG regs we own just as they are. Don't change a thing (but do offer more service technician clinic opportunities!!! especially in southern California, please). [/HIJACK]
