Was in the neighborhood of Youghiogheny Dam in PA, so thought I'd stop by and snorkel there before I'd make a dive trip to it since it is normally a few hours drive. I went there at the height of boat traffic on Sunday and viz was barely a foot or two. I snorkeled out a little past the beach buoys, but did not venture much farther since the boat traffic was excessive. Did some free diving and viz was the same. Has anyone dove there during the week when boat traffic is reduced? Is it a worthwhile dive when it quiets down or is viz always that poor?

Thanks,

Dan
