I understand shops get backed up this time of year but what is wrong with saying "we are backed up about three weeks, would you mind bringing them back later if you think you will need them in that time"?

Because then you would come on ScubaBoard and complain your LDS doesn't want your business?

Usually take whatever has to be serviced (regs, BC's, hydros, viz, etc.) in late January / early February. That time of the year gets it back to me within a week.
