I know YT has some new options for embedding videos - widescreen, larger dimensions, etc. Any chance the embed code will be updated to accommodate these options?

Right now, when I embed a widescreen vid, it plays in a small 4:3 window with letterboxing.

Bump. Anyone monitoring this forum? From what I can see, it should be fairly trivial to make a new
Code:
tag to allow larger, widescreen embeds, and would be a real treat for those of us who like to post videos with our dive reports.

Thanks!

All Site Support forums are monitored. :eek:npatrol:

Why not post the HTML code here so I can have a look at it? :)

seems the only one who looked into it so far was you Gombessa

It's also a matter of public support.

So far, only one member has requested this additional functionality.

I'll have a look at these new BB codes.

Thanks El.

It's true that I'm the only one who has so far requested it, but there seem to be quite a few users embedding dive videos, and not everyone is aware that Youtube has recently allowed HQ/HD embeds. I bet once people see higher quality embeds, they'd prefer it greatly over the small ones currently in place!
