My 3 year old YS-01 strobe has worked flawlessly, however, yesterday I had problems after replacing batteries. The metal contacts (2 of them) on the battery cap are a bit off center and crushed down a bit. I pried up the contacts slightly (and carefully) but could not really push a couple of them back into position in their slots.

I noticed a couple of small screws on the cap between the contacts. I cannot believe I am the only one to have seen or done this sort of thing and wonder if it is advisable or possible to disassemble and do a self-repair?

Otherwise, are replacement caps something I can purchase? My quick fix is ok for now but not for the long term.

Any other hints to get me through the next days diving until I can replace or repair?

Thanks!
Gary
