Hi all, can anyone share how they upkeep their octoplus (or other octo/inflators)?

-do u detach them with their hose from the bc after each dive to rinse, dry n store?

-do u rinse the hose and octo?

While travelling overseas on a plane...

-should i detach the octo with the hose and carry it along in my handcarry reg bag?

alrighty, hope to hear from some of you soon!

There is no need to detach them for travel. To take care of this reg simply do a thorough rinse of them following each dive day. You can do this through the mouth piece. Watch for any bubble leakage from theis reg after several dives. This may be a sign that you didn't rinse it good enough or that you have dirt in the mechanism usually back by the seat and poppet. It can also be a sign of it's incorrect adjustment following servicing. Occasionally during the dive breath the reg to ensure it's operation and practise airshare especially when you have a new dive partner.
