Hello Dennis
You are more than Welcome.. Thank You for attendingHello Dennis
, THANK YOU, for all the coordination and excellent communication
I'm sorry to hear this, Pete. Hope the surgery goes well, and you are back U/W soon.Great news and Not-So-Great news... As many of you know, I severely injured my back in January 2023 taking care of my dying sister. I missed last year's invasion due to a conflict in surgery, which helped, but not enough. In fact, I was in so much pain, that I had to forgo this past jaunt to the Philippines this past January. Unfortunately, my second surgery is scheduled 2 weeks before Bonaire, and while I might be able to manage it pain-wise, the surgeon has put his foot down and has told me that I can't leave the country out of fear of infection. I just won't be far along enough in my healing to be able to keep the bugs at bay. Life isn't fair all the time, now is it? FWIW, Bonaire is where I first met Rox and Dennis on sort of a precursor to these Invasions. The leader got stuck in the US due to a hurricane, and Dennis took over brilliantly. He and Rox have never, ever let us down.
So, please post pics. It's been too long since I've seen a sharp tailed eel! Or a frog fish. Or had the bedoodle scared out of me by a tarpon swimming way-too-close on a night dive. Sheesh! So post your pics, and tell me a story. I'll be flat on my back and will need your inspiration.
Damn, so sorry to miss you on this one Pete, I was looking forward to meeting you. Can't promise that I'll see your favorite fish on this one (unless that is tarpon), but if you've got a favorite food or drink out there, I'll pour one out for ya. Best of luck on your surgery, this journey has been a long and painful one, and hopefully a couple months from now you'll be able to look back and see that this is the beginning of its end. Pulling for you, cheers mate.Great news and Not-So-Great news... As many of you know, I severely injured my back in January 2023 taking care of my dying sister. I've been on a daily diet of Oxycodone for the last month. I'll skip a day or two to make sure I'm not hooked, but then the spasms and the pain set in. I'll be more than happy to skip that. They'll be replacing three discs, fusing 4 vertebrae and doing a RotoRooter on the spinal canal.Hope the surgery goes well,
Oxycodone is scary shite, for sure, but after Colleen fractured her neck in Feb, it was a Godsend for the first couple of weeks.I've been on a daily diet of Oxycodone for the last month.
