I just want to say that we were all instructors execpt one person ...

Yup ask the NSS-CDS or NACD how many Open Water Instructors have been pulled from caves after getting lost. Being an Open Water Instructor has nothing to do with being trained and prepared for technical dives.

From TDS...
Also...I am not asking any of you to go to where I went....I was just simply showing you what was down there. at 160-200'. BTW the people in ALL my videos WANTED to go where we were and do that particular dive and see what we saw

Asking them to go where I went? Many people on that site go to 200 and beyond on a regular basis. And they do it safely. WANTING to go there has nothing to do with the ability, skills, and equipment to go there and back safely.

As for personal attacks - those happen on TDS. As for here, sorry about your luck, but when someone does something reckless it kills people we know (read the story about the young man trying to help deep in a single) or ends up getting a cave closed or restricted. So people get rightfully bent out of shape when you endanger others or give diving a bad name.

Any guesses as to how many pages of replies this thread gets to:popcorn:

I couldn't stand it any more, so I spoke. But, my tongue was removed.

LOL. I know it's a serious matter, but I have to say, between here and TDS, this is a good Saturday night thread...

As far as replies, the OP keeps coming back for more, so who knows??? Has anyone checked out his other vids on Youtube?

I think some of the problem here lies not with the chap that did this dive, but with those who are reading about it. It's guys like he that push the limits that really set the boundaries of what the rest of us do. So maybe some people here are just a little jealous that this guy had the nutts to do this.

Sorry but this type of dive is not pushing the limits. This type of dive for those that have the proper training are common and safe and no where near the limits.

This type of dive will kill people that don't have the proper training.

It's nicer being able to post what you really want to say over on the deco stop. BTW I will be sending a report of this guys crap to PADI's quality department next week. they probably won't do anything but I'll sleep better at night knowing I tried to do something before he gets someone hurt or killed. As to those of you who think this kind of stuff is cool you need to spend more time in the accidents and incidents forums. If you still think it's cool well, Darwin always wins in one way or another when stupid and reckless are involved.
