I know us Looney Birds used to have a New Years Day dive each year until last year at Lake Lanier but the level have been really down for 2 years now and I realize that not many are diving Lanier at this time unless it's by boat.

So is anyone planning on trying a New Year's dive anywhere this year?

J:

I should be there with dry suit ready to stay warm this year. Hopefully, it won't be as cold as last year with air temps in the teens and windy. All I had then was a 7mm, I'm too cold natured for that.

I plan on being there unless it is like last year,I wussed out,bad wetsuit weather. Jeremy let me know if you want to do some diving,I want to get in some dives before the water gets too cold.:shocked2:

I'm in for a polar bear dive on New Years...

I'm up for a New Year's Day dive if its early. I would like to get in a couple of dives and get back home by 1PM.

The boss said I'm getting a pass, so it's going to be a New Years Dive in Florida for me. :D

Let's do it! Anyone diving before then? I should be home until the new year!

Everyone put together a place and time and I will come out too. We used to do this at Lanier, West Bank Park in years past but the lake is so low I don't know if it would work out this time.
Thoughts?
