Well Joe Diver you are wrong!!! Adventure was the first shop to pay $$$$$ for the platformthat they use and then came Scuba Toys and D.T.C. and also these shops paid for the pavilions they use too!!if these shop did not do what they did then there would be more traffic on all others platforms and pavilions, maybe all need to get there facts straight before venting!!!

Calm down cowboy. Go back and read my post again.

I said I asked about reserving a platform and was told they don't do that.

How can "I" be wrong with that?

I also said I didn't ask about paying money to put in a pavilion or platform so you could put your name on it that way.

How can "I" be wrong with that?

I didn't speak to Robert but I did ask the girl at the table, who in turn asked the folks inside the building. They said the pavilions are "first come basis". So, perhaps "they" were wrong?

Sorry Joe I was responding to Aggie Diver coment about he said Adventure did not pay for there platform!!!!!! The girls upfront are right the othere platforms cannot be reserved. I am being very calm!!!!

I am entertained.

Still, no one has addressed my concern, as a paying customer, of paying my money only to find that some parts of the park are still "private". And I still want to know when these things are reserved. Is Adv. Scuba really using their platform on Dec. 21 ?? I am okay if they own the platform. I just want to be informed about these things. And if they are not using their platform on Dec. 21, can I use it then? Please communicate with me.

And I still have this visibility problem with not being able to see the orange apricot, or mango, or whatever buoys from depth to determine if the platform is reserved or not. Where are my "Posted -- Private Platform" signs at depth?

Note that I am not arguing with anyone here; I just want communication.

Speedo,

It might help people understand you are calm if you left off all the exclamation marks.. A lot is lost in translating thoughts / emotions to type, but things like "!!!!!!!!!" tend to convey strong emotion or excitement.

I'm only mentioning it because you only have 3 posts to date and may not be a regular in discussion forums / communities.

Perhaps you should ask Robert? I doubt anyone here can give you the definitive answers you're looking for.

Post up what Robert says.....

Be sensible yall,

If Adventure is out there, and they are every single weekend starting in April through about the end of September, that platform is used by their instructors and students. There is no need for UW signs. They are properly marked on the surface to indicate to other instructors who should be familiar with the park or make an effort to become familiar with the park before using it that they are reserved.

AS does not go to CSSP in December. Anyone who wants to use the platform then is welcome to it.

When we get done on Saturday afternoon or Sunday afternoon drop on by and ask the instructor out there if they are done and I would bet you will get the answer of have at it.

Welcome to the boards speedo.

I disagree

they SHOULD be marked under water, surface is not good enough as I've stated before I'm not going to surface when I find a platform just to see what color marker is on it, thats insane.

It doesn't take THAT much effort to mark the platform under water, there are no good excuses I would accept to justify them not being marked underwater on the platform.

on another note -

Why do we even need platforms, students should be able to conduct these drills without a platform :)

Be sensible yall

Tom, I think this is the first sensible comment I have heard in this thread.

If we would all be sensible, then I think there is a sensible way to resolve all of this. Really, I do. It is just that, up to this point, I haven't heard anyone else be sensible and reasonable regarding this issue.

Thank you. But, that is not what the precious "Reserved Platform" signs say. Those signs stay posted year-round with no stipulation of dates. Communicate with me. I will be happy to stay off your platform when you are using it. Actually, I just lied to you. I stay off the platforms anyway. I am mostly just passing through.

Welcome to the boards speedo.

Welcome to the boards Speedo. You have picked one heck of a thread to enter as your inauguration!

they SHOULD be marked under water

They should be marked underwater.

I say give everyone a Xanax and relax.....
