I also use mine so that I may be easily recognized by fellow scuba boarders....oddly enough, unlike Sam, no one ever approaches me....

I wanted an avatar that has movement and I found this one with moving fish so it seem appropriate it.
Some people change avatars so often that it is hard to know who is who. When I first got on SB I only recognized posters by the avatar. After a while I was thinking that there were an awful lot of "a" holes on SB until I realized it was the same few people posting all over the place. It took me a minute but I realized that some people would change their avatar depending on the controversy of the day. Now its ok since I have a good idea of who's who and the avatars don't matter. And I have since learned that not all of those folks were a holes either.

Mine says I like to make bubbles through PADI It also says that i'm the most fun buddy to dive with, with the goofyness of it and all. PearlDiver, i'm thinking your avatar should me mine!

Well - mine is just a picture of me in front of the dive shop in Cozumel, but my favorite avatar belongs to ItsBruce. I wish I'd thought of it. You don't have to explain it - picture says it all:
During the Christmas season I wear a Reindeer mask and horns when I dive so I have that up for my Avatar during that time.
My "normal" avatar pic was taken at the first SB Invade The Rock. I had just started a HH thread where the first post said.. "the future is so bright we gotta wear shades". Many of the posters were using photos of themselves in sunnies. I promised under protest to have one of me taken for my avatar.
What do I hope it says about me? I am friendly, like to have fun and especially that I have a tendency to see the sunny side of life!
