the short fill happens with every dive op all over the world!

I will agree with that Tunaman. I don't hold it against anyone unless it is a consistent factor that happens on almost every dive. I just saw it listed on a post about Blue Angel and wondered if it that was something that happened consistently. Doesn't seem to be the case here.

BA is sounding better and better! :D

Just to clarify, yes Blue Angel owns their own fill station. It is back on 65 ave, that is why they get picked up and delivered. The boats now get loaded at the harbour (caleta) before they come to the hotel, so there are no tanks delivered early to the hotel anymore. Only shore dive tanks get delivered (as a norm) and they don't come early.

A nitrox system was added last winter at the fill station, so yes Blue Angel has a reliable source of enriched air from their own facility.
Thanks for the information.
I rode one of the dive shop guys bike down to the Caleta one morning and saw the loading going on.
Good to know we can get Nitrox at the BA now. Cool, longer BT
To the OP, the walk to villablanca is maybe 5 minutes.

Just how close is Villablanca?
Too far for a lazy person but a nice walk to most.

Oh and they now have a 2 for 1 happy hour from like 4-6pm, hey can't beat their margaritas after an afternoon of diving.

When we were there the Happy Hour was 3:30 to 6:30.....great for staying hydrated :D

Hey T!
So you guys are ready to get off the liveaboards for this trip?
No worries, I think you'll be very happy at BA. Clean, cozy, convenient, and right on the water. Kari and I were there a couple of years ago (the trip before CCV). I pm'd you with some more info.
I'm thinking of heading back to Coz this summer...when are you going?
Debra

I love BA-despite the road noise. It kind of depends who you ask....someone people are like "what noise?"....others (like me) notice it but find ways to not notice it, if you know what I mean. I am an extremely light sleeper, so I do notice it if I dont have the AC on (like in the cooler months). At those times, I do need ear plugs, but most of the other guests with me at the same time didn't need them. To me, it's a great place and totally worth the minor inconvenience of hearing some road noise.

We stayed for the first time in May 2010 and I had the same concerns. It took 20 minutes to walk to town and was no big deal at all. Some had posted that the walk was too long - not sure why they said that.

The rooms at the far end have bathrooms on the side with bathroom window on the side and we didn't notice road noise much at all. The other rooms have bathroom at the other end of the rooms with window facing the street, so the people we spoke with who stayed in those rooms just closed the bathroom doors at night and said they didn't notice any noise at all. There is a speed bump in front of the hotel so cars slow and speed accordingly. That's what causes the noise. I think some people is previous posts made sort of a big deal out of it, but really, it's not. We had no complaints at all about this hotel, and so worth it because the DMs are really great!

We plan to return in May again!

Right! Here is a proof!! ( from january 2011) We can see Mat (dive master/instructor) helping to get the tanks in the trunk....

BA has larger room than Villablanca. As for noise the ocean creates more than the street. Constant surf noise kind of puts me to sleep just like a minister during Sunday sermon.

BA's rooms are larger then the superior rooms at Villablanca? Never been to BA, but the superior rooms at VB are pretty big.
