Sure! I'm feeling very "compelled" about tomorrow ... I plan to bee-line straight to Baby Daddy. Actually feel like we should spend our entire dive in that area.

We always try to park in the same spot and the use picnic table closest to the shower by the playground. I drive a big white Buick Roadmaster sedan.

Look for the dude with the video camera. I wear snazzy red Ray Bans.

I think I will know Sandra when I see her - if she was at the proposed sanctuary meeting.

See you tomorrow!

Great! She will be the red head wearing the dry suit carrying a camera...I will tell her where you guys will be.

Incidentally, regarding the water quality....
While we have done several tests which show conclusively that there is excellent water quality at high tide where we dive, Skip from force E was able to find a "fly in the ointment"...some of his guys took samples at low tide at zero current movement, on the east side of the bridge, by the pilings....there has been a smell there, and tests Force E ran show very significant bacteria, indicative of sewage....it appears to us, that with all the pounding that the bridge construction crews were doing in past months, they cracked a sewage pipe right by one of these pilings.

"Someone", who shall remain nameless, also did a testing under the east bridge, near the piling in question, during a huigh tide current coming in....no significant bacteria colonies were shown in the samples south or north of the bridge pilings, we believe due to the enormous dilution power of the incoming tide...the leak is likely small, and will only have an effect at dead low tide, for kids at the beach....
Skip of Force E has tried to get commisioners and other city officials to take action, but so far no go....current step is to see what Jimmy Abernethy can do with his network of powerful TV media contacts :)
Bottom line is that it is safe for diving, but it is complete BS that the contractor has taken no responsibility for the damage, and as far as I know, will not even admit damage or sewage leaking is occurring. Also, the city and state should damn well take an interest in fixing a leaking sewage pipe, by a swimming beach at a park!!!

WOW. Thanks for that info Dan.

no pictures of the guitarfish. I was shooting my 105mm lens, and frankly it scared the poo out of me. I was hovering just off the bottom and it swam under me from behind.

:d:d:d:d:d

I saw this one during the annual Troll T-day potluck BBQ & dive this past Nov. It was 15-18" long ... I never did anything with this photo as it seemed very very dead.

(It's not dead, it's just sleeping)

Couldn't you have tuned it up??

Kevin

18" - 20" long.

This was the 2nd time I've seen one. The first one was on my very fist dive with my digital camera. It was on The Caves in Ft. Lauderdale. I was shooting my 60mm lens. I was able to back off and get a proof of life shot, but it isn't great.

You have some *seriously* high standards.

Just saw a preview of the 10:00 news ( ch 29 flx) ...Jimmy Abernethy HAS the Juice.....there is already a news story coming up on the leak at the BHB! And thanks to Skip of Force E for the detective work!!!

Good work people!.. Somebody needs to flush a **** load of dye

I have dove the BHB a few times. I have never seen the sea horses. I would love to. We are headed out to LBTS this coming weekend with a stop at BHB probably for sunday. If anyone would be willing to private me info on the seahorses, I would be grateful. Please sont public post it. I know the numbers have dwindled in the past.

Cheers, Walt

Thanks to all of the efforts by Force-E and everyone else involved....
I'm going to forward this to my contact at PBG...Their was no pounding of the installation of the pilings.. They were installed by drilling that was one of the conditions made during the planning of the construction....
