Always rinse everything, except when I am on a liveaboard and they restrict rinsing to either day's end or (gulp) end of the week.

I'm not rich enough to not rinse my gear. The only time i'll consider not rinsing would be after diving in fresh water.

R..
My feelings exactly. 6 years and counting with most of the used stuff.

Salt water dives I will rinse daily if I am at a resort. Live a board trips to So Cal sometimes take a day due to the commute back home but they do get a good soaking.
Fresh water lakes if the gear gets muddy or the conditions are silty. Unless they are geothermal, then they get rinsed regardless due to the high mineral content and the stink.

A fellow DM says he rarely rinses. What do you do?

I voted always unless diving tomorrow. In that case I will fill my Kit Bag with water and let the gear soak until the water leaks out.

I am way more paranoid about rinsing off chlorine from the pool, than rinsing off salt water.

...This may be why I have a "sacrificial set" of pool dive gear...

All the best, James

I dive mostly salt water, and I rinse after each dive day. I spent over $1500 on all this equipment, so it's almost like throwing it away if I don't take care of my equipment.

Also, I'm ultra-paranoid.

I dive salt water pretty exclusively. So I always rinse my gear after a day of diving, how well depends on how soon I'll be back diving again.
One thing I never skimp on though it my bolt snaps, cutting devices, camera, magnetic-switch torch, and my wrist mounts.

+1 what Sam said. I only Rinse if I am diving Salt water then I rinse immediatly in a Tub with water and cleaner and rinse throughly or if for some reason I was down in dirt/sand or something. In fresh water "Dutch Springs" typically just hang out to dry. If I do rinse from fresh water it's usually only once a month or so.
