Take a slate with "100" prominently written on it, and have somebody take a photo of you holding it. That's about the best you're going to do, if you're DMing a class.

That is exactly what my friend Veronika did last year when she hit 100 dives in Aqaba

I'm diving in the west coast of Sweden where the surface temp is 20 degrees C and bottom temp 10 degrees C this time of your. as far as I know the tradition is still being upheld around here... :)

Hopefully you reach a hundred in the summer, or you have a challenge.

I think this posting is a pretty good celebration. So are : commemorative tattoo, custom t-shirt marking the occasion, and creative expressions of intimacy related to diving with you lover. Congratulations on reaching this milestone!

What's the name of the maneuver where one basically poops while diving? You could do that...at 100 feet. That's pretty non-traditional :D

I just don't think that a dm with 99 dives should be dming a class but maybe that's just me. I know PADI rules and 60 but still...

Let's see. NAUI requires 60 dives for DM. SSI requires 60 dives for Divecon. Any reason you felt a need to single out PADI for this? Perhaps you could identify the agencies that refuse to allow DMs to be certified until they have well over 100 dives. That would be helpful.

DD's suggestion about the T-shirt is a good idea, this is mine from my 800th dive back in 1998 (I have to keep it hidden though as my wife is a cleanoholic and old T-shirts are always a target)

You're absolutely right, sorry for mentioning only PADI.

Since we tend to celebrate birthdays with eating and drinking, why not do the same submerged. Toasting with a bottle of beer (well near-beer anyway) would make a great addition to the slate with a "100" marked on it.
