Can you show me that statute?
There is no statute (law). If you go by land through Ginnie Springs Outdoors, break the rules & are caught with a light in the cave systems, you will be "asked to leave" & banned from entrance that way.
I know you said you don't want to hear about the ethics & training,.... but it is glaringly obvious that you need to.
One question. Why do you seem hell bent on possible suicide? There have been nearly 20 cave fatalities alone, this year & out of them only 3 had training, but were breaking the prescribed rules of safe cave diving- Do you even know what these rules are? Why/ how they were formulated? That's right, they came about due to the deaths of divers before, that had made those mistakes & paid with their lives. All the other fatalities were non cave trained divers who thought they could get away with it or that their guide would protect them. Guess what,... they were wrong..... dead wrong. I made the same mistake you are planning (another system). Yes, I'm alive,... but I only barely made it out. I came very close to becoming a statistic in 2007. Only by the grace of God & luck did I make out alive. It scared me badly & I learned my lesson. I got training.
Before you do this,.... ask yourself,.... how much grief do you want to cause your family & loved ones if/when you don't return? Also ask yourself, do you really want to risk the safety & lives of the recovery crew that will have to get you out? In the end ask yourself, is it truly worth the risk?
