Well I did ask for you to make time to go faster. I guess I have to be careful for what I ask for. Because you do deliver.

Hi Dennis - can't believe how close this trip is getting. I was wondering if I should bring my reef hook for some of the dives at Peurto Galera? I know that I will be using my muck stick in Dumaguete.

Thank you :D

I have sent your question to Atlantis and will post their reply as soon as I get it.
Maybe I need a reef hook??? Can you believe I don't own one

No I don't - you always seem to have all and the best toys! I've only used the reef hook in Palau and due to the damage they can cause - you only use them on a couple of dive sites.

Most places don't like when you use the muck stick - unless you are diving in the muck. Atlantis Dumaguete sells the muck sticks - so if we need a reef hook for Peurto Galera - I'm sure they sell them too.

I'm feeling generous today, so let's start some of the 2016 Invasion prize fun early. Audred has won a prize for the most posts so far this month. I'll have something for you in the Philippines! Congrats!

I've got both but haven't had a need to use a hook yet. Use my stick every time I pull the camera :)

ATLANTIS REPLY TO YOUR QUESTION

Reef hooks are definitely not “required” however if divers do bring them and use them responsibly we will allow their use. There are one or two dives in PG where they might be used and currents can be strong but as I say we don’t use them as a rule.
Please remind divers we do not allow the use of gloves and any sticks/hooks or other carried items must be used responsibly
