    You don't see this everyday...

If what the offer says is true...no reason to say it is not...what do you think a fair price might be?

Addicted to Caffeine - increased risk of DCS?

DCS means what? Decompression sickness...correct? Where did I make my mistake? If I hang out at lets say 100 fsw for 30 minutes have I not past the NDL and just increased my chance of getting DCS? IF I just decide to return to the surface w/o the proper deco stop Also please try re-reading...

Addicted to Caffeine - increased risk of DCS?

Coffee and Rice make Navy ships go. And if I have problems getting things from supply nothing greases the wheels faster taking down a big dish of freshly made rice and a few cans of spam...but of course it is all washed down with coffee...LOL all jokes aside. I don't think a little coffee hurt...

    pre-dive light setup/arrangement

I use the CRL 15 style to attach my UK 100 Light Cannon. I would to have like to have gotten the CRL 12 style due to it being made with SS clip. I don't have any grips about the one I have, it is not the same brand name but looks like essentially the same thing. BTW the company's web page you...

    pre-dive light setup/arrangement

Melancholy7777, I use 3 lights. Mounted on my Zeagal 911 BC One is a small "pen light" I got out of a firber optics repair kit...don't ask how I got it...has 2 triple A battries. I clip this to the RT handside of my BC on the upper D-ring. My primary light is the UK 100 Light Cannon HID...

    Any military divers here?

I started diving because it was taking me places others could not go. Nothing I hate more then ending up at the same hotel with everyone you have been stuck with for the last 20+ days to spend hard earned cash on re-telling the same stories over beers. Rather "drink" a couple of tanks of...

    My newbie brother-in-law

Ronrosa, I deal with over confident new people in my line of work all the time. Most of them are simply unaware of the situation they are putting themselves in. The average age of the people I deal with is about 19. At 25 I still often lack in the "life experence" department. SO....hear...

    Showing your card...

and it is not only a chance for another sale...but a chance to impress upon the customer that safety around Mike's shop comes first. I don't know Mike and haven't been in Ind. in like 6 years. I have seen how it is here in Japan, and can only guess what it is like in other places with less...

    Showing your card...

For what it's worth....my thoughts.... I don't own my own tanks, and I have had to show my card prior to paying for diving. However, I did not have my own gear at the time and was diving in Hawaii. I got the feeling the dive operator wanted to know about what level I was at before taking me...

Hands off the marine creatures. Just a small rant.

Interesting to see how people view things....black and white....some, I see have room for the "gray area". I am new to the sport and for the most part think it ok to just come and look...however when I see those guys with the 8 legs hanging out, it makes me want to stop and grab them for...

    Sherwood "Profile" vs. Genesis "React-Pro"

Tim, I have the Genesis Scuba Re Act PRO Dive computer and have used it to log several dives. I have even taken it into Deco Mode to see just how it works. I am happy with the computer. I use it in the in-line 3 console configuration. Beware that as of now you CANNOT Download this...

    Mares V32 Proton ICE

I have had the chance to breath air off a few regs. I own a Mares V32 Proton Ice. I was down at 160 feet the other day. I was happy to breath all the air I wanted off my reg. It was only slightly harder to "suck" air out of my tank from the ICE then from the Reg my Dive Buddy was using...
