When can you start diving wet at Dutch Springs?

Thanks. I guess I'll go ahead and spring for the 7mm plus hood and give it a shot early June and see how it goes from there.

When can you start diving wet at Dutch Springs?

Thanks for all the tips. That's exactly what I'm looking for. Somewhere relatively close and easy to practice basic skills like buoyancy, nav and safety procedures so that when I go on "fun dives" I can enjoy the dive more easily.

When can you start diving wet at Dutch Springs?

Assuming I wouldn't be getting up there until late May at the earliest, do you think a 7mm hooded shortie under my 3mm full suit would be sufficient, or should I spring for the 7mm full suit? I have a 3mm full from pinnacle now and this looks like it would be a good combo item: Pinnacle Escape...

When can you start diving wet at Dutch Springs?

So, you're saying a 7mm full is sufficient as soon as opening day? I had read that you need a dry suit until later in the year, no?

Need dive buddy in Key Largo 4/29 &/or 4/30

thanks for the tip. My wife bought the package through Sea Dwellers for me for Christmas. I just emailed them to see if I could come down a day earlier and do my AOW training over the 3 diving days. That way I don't have to worry about a guide or buddy.

When can you start diving wet at Dutch Springs?

I'm newly certified with only 6 dives. I want to take advantage of Dutch Springs for practicing buoyancy and navigation but am not ready to embark on dry suit training yet. How soon in the year could I get away with diving there in a 7mm full with hood, gloves and boots? And is there anytime...

Need dive buddy in Key Largo 4/29 &/or 4/30

Hi all. Got my OW back in December in TCI, and my wife booked me on a trip through Sea Dwellers in Key Largo for 2 days of diving (2 - 2 location morning dives). This will be my first dive besides with the guides at the resort where I was certified and don't have a dive buddy to go with me...

    "Mexico Safer than Headlines Indicate"

Women have been raped here after taking cabs home from trendy bars. I wonder what the state department warnings about the US would say.... Hell, most countrires, including the UK issue warnings about the gun crime in the US to their citizens.

    "Mexico Safer than Headlines Indicate"

I live in Philly, specifically, the border of North Philly. One of the most dangerous areas in the country, or even the world by pure numbers. I don't worry, you know why? I'm not a young black male involved in the drug trade. Who you are, who you interact with, and what your activities are...

Anyone know if Beaches T&C provides wetsuits?

It was fantastic. Commented about it a couple other places on the board and didnt' want to spam about it. But here's my detailed review on Tripadvisor: Perfect vacation with baby - Review of Beaches Turks & Caicos, Providenciales - TripAdvisor

January trip with family - want suggestions for location

Just got back from Beaches in Turks and Caicos where I completed my OW training. Great all-inclusive resort, with plenty to do for everyone. Scuba included, one & two tank dives daily. Great reef 10 minute walk up the beach you can snorkel out to with nurse sharks, turtles and eels. Kids...

Water Temp around Turks and Caicos - early December

I just got back on 12/3. 81 at depth. Most wore shorties, no full suits, I wore bathing suit and short sleeve rash guard and was fine, but I'm a bit warm blooded.

Anyone know if Beaches T&C provides wetsuits?

At $10/day for rental sounds like I might as well get my own, at least a cheap one. I'll see what they have at the dive shop where I go for the contained water dives. I assume at least that I won't need a hood or gloves down there? Already have booties.

Anyone know if Beaches T&C provides wetsuits?

P.S. I do realize I can ask Beaches if they provide that. But I know sometimes places say they have something only to find out they don't or there's limited availability, so thought I'd check here first. Tx.

Anyone know if Beaches T&C provides wetsuits?

Hi all, new here. Just signed up for Padi e-Learning and contained water dives locally before my trip to Beaches Turks and Caicos at the end of November where I'll be doing the open water portion. From what I've read, a wet suit is needed that time of year. I wasn't planning to invest in any...
