Anyone use a Garmin Descent G1?

Used my Garmin Descent G1 yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. It is a smartwatch with all the features with a smartwatch however, it is also a dive computer. It uploaded to the Garmin dive app to give you all the details of your dive along with dive graph and map location. As I also did the...

    royal carribean/adventure of the seas/diving/

Wow, sounds like my dive in St Maarten. Did you dive on 2/26/13? The seas and current was very rough. We did the reef and then a wreck. My notes indicated my dive buddy was from Canada. If you were my buddy, we held it together pretty well and kept each other safe. If that was you, I would dive...

Anyone have a Deep Blue Watch?

Well, a couple of dives in St. Kitts and it works great. 1000 meters is much more than I need but why not. The lume is fantastic and will glow all night. I highly recommend Deep Blue watches and it is quickly becoming my favorite watch.

Anyone have a Deep Blue Watch?

I took the plunge and ordered a Deep Blue Juggernaut 1000M automatic dive watch. I understand that these watches are tough and made especially for divers. Does anyone own a Deep Blue watch and how has it worked out? :):)

    Lovely diving watch?

My Subaqua Noma III has been a trusted watch on many dives and it has worked well. It is a swiss automatic model. While it costs a fraction of the price of the high end swiss watches, I am quite happy with it. By the way, it is extremely accurate to boot. To call it crap, appears to be harsh...

    Diving in the Canary Islands?

Did two shore dives with Easy Blue and they were great. I dove with Ronald as our guide and a young couple from Poland. What a pleasant change from a cattle boat! Anyway, our first dive we explored a cave. Lots of fish including a couple of stingrays. On the second dive we used the underwater...

    Diving in the Canary Islands?

Well, before your post I ended up booking with Easy Blue World. I saw some good reviews and they were prompt in answering my emails. I will have to report back upon my return. Let me know if you heard any negative comments about them. :):)

    Watch face colors

The most important thing I look for in a watch is contrast. For me, black or blue watch faces with white or silver hands offers sufficient contrast so it is easy to read the time. I guess the extremes are orange and yellow faces. One other thing, make sure it is rated for at least 200 meters...

Anyone have an Invicata Subaqua watch?

Well, there is no way I'm going to have a 500 meter dive watch and not dive with it. I just returned from the Caribbean and did multiple dives with my Invicta Subaqua without any incident. The watch works perfectly, as it should! My thanks to Invicta for replacing my watch. There must have...

Is there a good dive watch for under $200?

You may want to check ebay for a Sector watch. They are sport watches and some are water resistant to 200 meters.

Do you dive with an expensive dive watch?

In my opinion, anything over 2-3 hundred would upset me in the event of failure. I couldn't imagine flooding a 5-10k Rolex.

Do you dive with an expensive dive watch?

Do you dive with an expensive dive watch? Has it ever failed? I'm wondering if I would be better off with a cheap Casio or Timex for diving. Do people dive with Rolex's and such? As the watch and seals get older, it will fail and a flood will ruin the watch.

    National Geographic Dive Master Watch

I think one of us needs to buy it and report back. It sure looks like a deal for $60. :coffee:

    Mineral Oil filled Dive Watch

I think you might as well get a cheaper 200M dive watch from Timex or Casio and use it for your dive watch. Many report using these cheaper watches with success. I don't think the mineral oil idea would work or be practical. On the up side, flooding a $50 watch is less painful than...

Anyone have an Invicata Subaqua watch?

Low and behold, Invicta replaced the watch and sent me a shiny brand new one! My emotion must have been detected by the customer service manager. I'm quite impressed and happy. Although, I'm thinking this watch will only get as wet as in a pool and never 95 feet in the ocean. In the mean time, I...

Anyone have an Invicata Subaqua watch?

O.K. hold the phone! The watch is not working right, the GMT hand is gaining an hour or two each day, through the caseback glass I could see rust in several places as well as oxidation. I called Invicta and was on hold for twenty minutes. Option two was to leave a message for customer service...

Anyone have an Invicata Subaqua watch?

Wow, a little over a month and my watch was delivered back to me. It looks like the entire insides were replaced as everything is shiny and new looking. According to Invicta, they shipped it back to the Swiss factory for repair. I'm pleased with Invicta service and now to try diving with it...

Anyone have an Invicata Subaqua watch?

I do have a question. When an automatic watch floods, is the factory able to clean them up and make them work again or will they need to replace the insides? Thanks, Joe
