Magnificent!! The crinoid shrimps are fantastic Andy!!!!! Sorry I never made it to the Philippines, but I am living there vicariously through you guys.
Your photos keep getting better and better. Didn't think it was possible, but you've outdone yourself :). Magnificent flatworms, and you continue to be the king of the frogfish.
Once again - WOW!! That green nudibranch is tough to photograph (I think) but you nailed it. Perhaps the best image of that species I have ever seen. Great job. ++Ken++
Wonderful images once again Jim. I am curious, why the relatively large apertures and high shutter speeds? Is that inherent in the camera (obviously I'm not familiar with the G10). Since the strobe duration is only about 1/30,000 sec the shutter speed is largely irrelevant in strobe-lit...
Marc that D700 is amazing!! Takes pictures of itself :). More great images Jon - you have a great talent.
Elephant seal mom with twins from San Simeon CA this week:
Thanks Bill and Scott.
@Bill - it is really extraordinary what's happened up there. The docents say the population is up to about 15,000 individuals. One of the most fascinating things I've ever seen in nature. This is a good time to see it, the pups are all born now and mating is about...
Lots of rain here! Much better underwater in Morro Bay:
Dendronotus frondosus:
Flabellina trilineata:

Lots of pups on the San Simeon beaches right now:
