2016 RIG & REEF CLASSIC SPEARFISHING TOURNAMENT

Spearfishing in this event is at your own risk! Your entry fee is you excepting responsibility of your actions! We would like to raise enough money to fund the cash prizes, and help programs that benefit our oceans beyond just the Gulf of Mexico!

If you end up not being able to compete a Substitute diver is authorized but must be cleared by me David Ramsey and paid for by member requesting sub. Notify Dave Ramsey!
2. Valid state fishing license is required of all participants.
3. Diving is open to all waters Gulf Of Mexico
4. Competition starts January 1 2016, and ends April 30th 2016.
5. All fish subject to autopsy, investigation, and if found illegal will be disqualified from tournament with no refund, and reported to your state Fish and Wildlife agency!
6. Fish must be photographed, weighted with witnesses prefer official scale be used or two separate to prove weight, length measured from tip of mouth to farthest point of tail, must be in a natural resting position a photo must be taken of this, date, Time, Location, and Hunter Freedive or scuba who harvested fish all must be posted to https://www.facebook.com/RigsReefClassic/ I will place fish in the album that has been created! 7. All decisions by Official (David Ramsey) will be final.
8. No power heads allowed.
10. Fish must be speared and recovered by Diver, assistance is authorized!
11. Fish speared from diver while still inside, on, or on top of boat, kayak, are not eligible.
13. Diver DO NOT NEED to be present for prizes April 30th 2015 or day after if entry's are still coming in! No entry will be excepted past midnight April 30th 2016.
14. Each category Freedive/Scuba will receive a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prize.
15. In case of any ties due to weight the earliest fish entered wins.
16. Eligible Fish are; Amberjack, Wahoo, Cobia, Grouper (any legal), Sheepshead, Mahi, Mangrove, Cubera, Red Snapper, Tripletail, King Mackerel.
17. The use of Reels, Handheld Bungees, Riding Rigs, and shafts tethered directly to a speargun will be allowed as well as poles pears! If assistance is needed from other divers it is authorized to minimize loss of injured fish or injury death to diver!
18. Participants are responsible for proper disposing of all fish entered into the event.
19. Rigs & Reef Classic begins January 1st 2016 and ends April 30
20. There will be 2 Divisions Scuba & FreeDiver, with 11 Brackets being the 11 fish listed above.
This event is solely to promote Spearfishing, and to connect the world of Spearfishermen, and Spearfisherwomen! Never Dive alone, always practice One Up/One Down, Never be more than an arms length away from your diver partner, always give the okay signal and watch your partner for 30 seconds at least once he or she has surfaced, no fish is worth your life so hunt with the right gear!
